Viscometers for the Paint and Varnish Industry

Paints and Varnishes can’t work without viscometry – this is why.

Viscometer

Did you know – the original cone and plate viscometer used to test paint was developed by ICI (Imperial Chemical Industries), who went on to become Akzo Nobel, owner of Dulux. Over time, ICI was broken up and the R&D division was purchased by REL (Research Equipment London Ltd), and after many years, the REL viscometer brand was purchased by ATAC, who rebranded and improved them to become the NuLine viscometer you see today. Paint viscometry is in our heritage.
